About The Opportunity

Programmed has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Supervisor to join our dedicated team maintaining the iconic Burswood Park grounds. This is not just another grounds maintenance role - it’s a chance to lead operations in one of Perth’s most picturesque parklands, directly contributing to the beauty, safety, and vibrancy of a space enjoyed by both locals and tourists.

You’ll be responsible for the planning and delivery of high-quality horticultural and turf maintenance programs, supervising a small team and contractors, and ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

This is a permanent, full-time position offering long-term stability, career development opportunities, and the chance to be part of a close-knit and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement horticultural and turf maintenance programs
  • Undertake planting, pruning, mulching, mowing, and spraying duties as required
  • Supervise on-site employees and contractors to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality delivery of work
  • Schedule and plan day-to-day operations, manage equipment and small plant use
  • Audit work quality, tools, and site presentation
  • Monitor asset condition and report using digital tools
  • Champion WHS practices and ensure compliance with all safety procedures

About You

You’re a motivated and hands-on leader with experience in grounds or parks maintenance, and you're confident managing people, projects, and daily operations in a practical outdoor setting. Additionally, you will have:

  • Qualifications in Horticulture and/or Sports Turf Management/Irrigation (Essential)
  • Current driver’s license (Essential)
  • Construction White Card (Essential)
  • Industry experience in horticulture, turf or irrigation
  • Previous supervisory experience in grounds maintenance or similar
  • Strong understanding of WHS and environmental systems
  • Experience using a range of small plant and turf equipment
  • Any further tickets/trade qualifications such as Pest Management, Traffic Management or Senior First Aid would be advantageous
