Job summary

Queensland Health is seeking an Operational Services Officer for Grounds and Gardens at Eventide Residential Aged Care Facility and Charters Towers Hospital. This permanent full-time role supports sites within Townsville Health Service, with a competitive salary and benefits.

You will maintain gardens, coordinate landscaping quotations, supervise contractors, and ensure safe, well-kept grounds with minimal disruption to staff and residents.

Qualifications

• This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease risk role.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check or Yellow Card is required for risk-assessed health roles.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of tasks of a complex nature, operating equipment requiring skill and training.
• Assist in the establishment, cultivation, maintenance and upkeep of gardens and grounds for Charters Towers Hospital premises, ERACF and CTRU.
• Abide by the Annual Planned Schedule of Works for the Charters Towers Facilities Maintenance Plan.
• Assist with coordination of quotations for landscaping works.
• Liaise with Team Leader and Contractors for quotations and supervise contractor/sub-contractor works for quality/safety.
• Monitor Grounds Team materials and equipment holdings to ensure efficient, safe service delivery.
• Ensure works are undertaken with minimal disruption to staff and visitors.
