Cruise Whitsundays, based in Airlie Beach, is seeking a casual Grounds Crew member to enhance guest experiences by handling luggage, freight, and inventory while supporting vessel crews. The role emphasizes safety, service, and operational adherence.
Ideal candidates will have a proactive attitude, strong communication, and the ability to work weekends/holidays, with a valid manual license and own transport to Shute Harbour. Training and WHS compliance are part of the role.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a similar customer service role, with previous Porter/Reservations experience advantageous.
- Must hold a valid manual driver license.
- Experience in warehouse and procurement highly advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office and general computer-based administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional guest service and maintain professional presentation.
- Manage the movement of luggage and freight efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory through ordering, receiving, and counting.
- Assist vessel crew with loading and unloading of freight, luggage, and guests.
- Ensure clear communication with fleet and Port of Airlie radio.
- Aid reservations team with enquiries and check-ins, including issuing tickets through CustomLinc.

We have a casual position available for a motivated individual to join our Grounds Crew team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences by delivering consistent service, managing luggage and freight movement, maintaining inventory, and assisting the vessel crew. Clear communication with the fleet and Port of Airlie is essential, as well as a commitment to guest safety and satisfaction. This role also includes maintaining cleanliness in the work area and adhering to operational procedures and Work, Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
