Job summary

Enemi is seeking a Grid Engineer to join the Sydney-based Grid Connections team. You will work with technical and development teams to progress connection applications across solar and storage assets, delivering studies and reports to NSP/AEMO standards.

You will manage grid studies using PSSE/PSCAD, contribute to EPC activities, and develop releasable guides while coordinating across multiple projects. Renewable energy experience and a solid electrical engineering background are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in power systems roles, particularly power system modelling and power quality assessment.
• Proficiency in PSSE, PSCAD or PowerFactory.
• Working knowledge of the NER and Generator Performance Standards.
• Renewable energy experience, solar or wind, viewed favourably.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects at once and driven to see them through.

Responsibilities

• Manage grid connection studies for solar projects using PSSE and PSCAD, feeding key inputs into the EPC process
• Prepare connection study reports, performance standards and releasable user guides to meet NSP and AEMO requirements
• Support projects through the EPC process, from connection application through detailed design to commissioning and R2 testing
• Negotiate technical performance standards directly with NSPs and AEMO
• Assist with site finding and grid capacity assessments where needed

They are looking for a Grid Engineer to join their Grid Connections team in Sydney, working closely with technical and development teams to progress connection applications across their solar and storage portfolio.
