Job summary

Charterhouse is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a local government team in Victoria, delivering planning, design, procurement, delivery and completion of greenspace services infrastructure projects for the council. The role offers a 6-month contract with extension potential, a 35-hour work week, and a car allowance.

You will plan, coordinate and manage diverse projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet timeframes, budgets and quality standards while collaborating

Qualifications

• A tertiary and/or postgraduate qualification in Construction/ Civil Engineering/ Landscape or Project Management.
• Experience delivering greenspace infrastructure and council projects.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules and stakeholder communications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver a diverse portfolio of greenspace, recreational, environmental and urban infrastructure projects from initiation through to completion.
• Develop project plans, schedules, milestones and resource requirements to ensure projects are delivered within approved timeframes, budgets and quality standards.
• Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions to address delays, budget overruns or project risks.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, resource allocation, procurement and capital expenditure across all programs, including progress reports.
• Ensure projects are delivered within allocated capital and operational budgets and comply with Council's financial management requirements.
• Liaise and collaborate with internal departments, external agencies, contractors, community groups and other stakeholders to facilitate successful project delivery.
• Prepare and present project reports, briefings and updates for management, executive leadership as required.
• Respond to enquiries and provide expert advice relating to project planning, delivery and operational impacts.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, records and reporting to support governance and audit requirements.
