Job summary

Ampstek is seeking a Graphic Designer to deliver high-quality visual design for a High Profile Government Department based in Canberra. The role involves creating campaign materials, publications, and brand assets, with occasional UX/digital design work.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, maintain brand consistency, and contribute to UX-related wireframes and interfaces as needed. A strong portfolio and NV1+ clearance are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design works.
• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and the Microsoft Office suite (Word and PowerPoint).
• Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, colour theory, and layout.
• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment (at times).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Hold a NV1 or higher Australian Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design assets including presentations, publications, infographics, campaign and promotional materials.
• Prepare and manage press-ready artwork with print vendors, meeting brand standards.
• Maintain and evolve consistent visual identity across materials.
• Design layouts for print and digital assets.
• Produce multimedia content across platforms, ensuring a high level of quality and creativity.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for visuals and branding.
• Opportunity to contribute to digital/UX projects, wireframes, prototypes, interface design.
