Rakumba Lighting, a heritage luxury lighting brand in Melbourne, seeks a Graphic Designer & Marketing Specialist to shape its visual identity across print, digital, packaging and events. You will split time between hands-on design and managing marketing channels, launches and trade fair campaigns.
The role emphasizes a polished aesthetic, strong production know-how, and collaboration with designers and in-house teams to elevate Rakumba’s international presence.
Shape the visual identity of Rakumba, Australia's heritage luxury lighting brand, whose work appears in architecture, hospitality and residential projects around the world.
Since 1968, Rakumba has been driven by a shared obsession with 'Making Beauty', and we're seeking a talented Graphic Designer & Marketing Specialist to join us on our journey of making a lasting mark on design globally.
In this role, you'll take our products from concept to finished work in print, digital, packaging and on the international trade fair stage. Your time will be split between hands‑on design and running our marketing channels and campaigns. You'll have the opportunity to:
Design across print and digital: brochures, catalogues, price lists, landing pages, email campaigns and social content, all to a refined, high‑end standard
Design packaging, seeing artwork through to production with our print manufacturing partners
Deliver product launches and international trade fairs, including Milan Design Week, from campaign plans and timelines to stand graphics, printed material, press kits and post‑event content
Art‑direct visual content by writing briefs for 3D visualisers, reviewing photography and licensing project images
Run our digital channels: maintain our Webflow website, plan and create social media content, conduct email campaigns, and brief our paid social agency
Tell our story to the media and our partners through press releases, editorial pitches, and marketing asset packs for our international dealers
Collaborate with world-renowned designers and studios and our in‑house product team so that every launch reflects our visual identity
Help shape our marketing strategy by contributing plans, ideas and campaign insights alongside the design and management teams
This is a permanent position, 4 days per week, with strong potential for growth.
You're the perfect fit if you have:
5+ years of proven graphic design experience, ideally in luxury brands, interiors, furniture or lighting
A portfolio of sophisticated, high‑end work across print, digital and packaging
Print production experience: paper stocks, proofing and working with commercial printing partners
Exceptional proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Illustrator
Experience managing a website through a content management system (Webflow preferred)
Strong digital marketing skills: social media (Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn), email marketing, and confident, considered use of AI tools in your workflow
Confidence briefing and directing outside partners: 3D visualisers, photographers, printers and marketing agencies
Excellent copywriting skills, including press releases and editorial pitches
A strong understanding of the architecture and interior design (A&D) world, its media and its key players
A meticulous eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple projects against hard trade fair and launch deadlines
Video editing skills or experience with 3D visualisation software such as KeyShot
Experience in marketing at international design fairs and events
Work with a passionate team dedicated to creating authentic, contemporary products for high‑end projects across the globe
Shape how our visual identity evolves across print, digital, packaging and events
Be part of a brand with a rich heritage and an exciting future in the luxury design space
See your work on show at Milan Design Week and through our international partner network
