Job summary

Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) is seeking a Graphic Designer on a 12-month fixed-term basis to deliver high-quality design across print, digital and campaign channels. You will create brand-aligned visuals for staff, stakeholders and the Victorian community, working within an in-house team to meet accessibility standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience and proficiency in the development and delivery of high-quality graphic design materials for a range of digital and print channels.
• Highly proficient skills using Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat, with a strong understanding of layout, typography, visual hierarchy and accessibility.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret briefs, manage multiple design jobs, work to agreed timelines, communicate clearly with stakeholders and deliver fit-for-purpose design solutions that support customer-focused communication outcomes.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word and Excel, and experience using Canva, Asana and Basecamp would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Develop engaging visual content for DEECA’s online and offline channels
• Produce high-quality design outputs across digital, print, campaign and publication formats
• Interpret briefs and provide design advice to internal stakeholders
• Prepare accessible, brand-aligned and customer-focused creative materials
• Support the development of templates, tools and resources that strengthen DEECA’s visual communication
• Work both independently and collaboratively as part of the broader Marketing and Creative Services team
• Contribute to a positive, responsive and service-focused creative studio environment.
