Job summary

Yatsal Distributors is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to thrive in a fast-paced Australian retail environment. You will design packaging, branding and marketing assets, delivering work that appears on shelves nationwide.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will lead packaging projects, collaborate with product teams, and leverage emerging AI tools to streamline creativity and productivity while maintaining brand consistency across ranges.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of Graphic Design experience.
• Experience designing retail packaging.
• Experience in FMCG, wholesale or retail environments.
• Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign).
• Strong typography, layout and branding capability.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design packaging across a wide range of retail categories.
• Create artwork for seasonal launches and everyday product ranges.
• Develop product branding from concept through to print-ready artwork.
• Produce marketing collateral including catalogues, POS, digital assets and promotional material.
• Work closely with Category Managers and Product Teams to bring new products to market; prepare production-ready files for suppliers and manufacturers.
• Maintain brand consistency across multiple product ranges.
• Use AI-powered design tools to improve creative workflows and productivity.
• Contribute ideas that continually improve our creative processes.

We're looking for a talented Graphic Designer who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and loves seeing their work come to life on shelves across Australia.

What you'll be doing

What we're looking for

You’ll ideally have:

• 3-6 years' experience in Graphic Design
• Experience designing retail packaging (highly regarded)
• Experience in FMCG, wholesale or retail environments
• Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign)
• Strong typography, layout and branding capability
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
• A proactive mindset and willingness to adapt in a fast-moving business
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to collaborate across teams

Bonus points if you have

• Experience using AI design tools such as Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, ChatGPT or similar
• Experience preparing artwork for overseas manufacturers
• Photography or content creation skills
• Motion graphics or video editing experience
• Understanding of print production and packaging specifications
