Adelaide University is seeking a Research Fellow (Level B) based in the School of Computer Science and Information Technology to contribute to high-quality research and develop innovative solutions to real-world problems. The role offers a 36-month fixed-term contract with the opportunity to supervise HDR students and emerging researchers.

You will join a collaborative research environment and work with industry partners and students to deliver impactful outcomes across contemporary challenges.

Qualifications

Experience

To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience:

Qualifications
  • A PhD in a relevant discipline or equivalent accreditation and standing appropriate to a Level B Research academic appointment.
  • Significant experience in undertaking basic research and/or applied research and development (R&D).
  • Established track record in delivering solutions to real-world problems through software development, mathematical formulation, experimentation and/or statistical analysis.
  • Significant experience in the management of research and/or applied R&D projects and programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate effectively with external partners on shared initiatives and projects.
  • Evidence of professional contributions, including activities such as organising workshops, conferences, symposia or similar events.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and the ability to positively uphold associated behavioural expectations.

Experience supervising junior researchers and/or Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students to achieve research outcomes, including publications and theses.
