Job summary

GrainCorp’s VIC Grain Protection team at the Ouyen site is seeking an enthusiastic Pest Control Officer. You will inspect infrastructure, monitor pest control and fumigation, and guide trainees. Travel within the region is expected and safety standards are a focus.

kv You’ll report to the Grain Protection Supervisor and contribute to reporting and audits while enjoying a varied day-to-day role on site or at other locations.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted driver’s licence required.
• Some computer skills and attention to detail.
• Organised, able to handle heights and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Inspect site infrastructure and storage assets for hygiene and cleanliness.
• Monitor and carry out pest control and fumigation procedures.
• Direct activities of pest control trainees/assistants.
• Provide expert advice and training to site staff in the region.
• Comply with safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Complete reporting, audits and other activities as required.
