Job summary

Bravus Mining and Resources' Carmichael mine offers a Graduate Warehouse role that combines hands-on experience with inventory management, supply chain, procurement and cost control. Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong numerical and analytical capability.
• Attention to detail and Excel proficiency with willingness to develop analytics.
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to work with teams.
• Commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement.
• Current Queensland Class C Driver Licence or ability to obtain one before commencement.
• Ability to learn SAP or another ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Manage receipt, storage, staging and issue of parts and materials.
• Use ERP systems to maintain inventory records.
• Analyse stock levels, usage and reorder points to ensure availability.
• Participate in stocktakes, cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify improvements.
• Identify excess, obsolete and slow-moving inventory.
• Support purchasing, goods receipting and invoice matching.
• Turn inventory and cost data into actionable information for operations.
• Work with Maintenance and Operations to understand material requirements.
• Find better ways to manage warehouse systems, processes and storage practices.

Job description

As our Graduate Warehouse, you will get hands-on experience at Carmichael mine, working with the people, systems and materials that keep a large-scale mining operation moving.

This is more than a warehouse role. You will develop capability across inventory management, supply chain, procurement, cost control, data analysis and operational planning while working alongside Maintenance, Operations, Procurement and Finance.

Working with Maintenance, Operations, Procurement and Finance, the role helps ensure critical parts and materials are available when required while progressively building the capability and confidence to take on greater responsibility.

This role operates on an 8 days on, 6 days off dayshift-only roster (8/6).

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the receipt, storage, staging and issue of parts and materials.
• Using ERP systems to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Analysing stock levels, usage and reorder points so critical parts are available when needed.
• Participating in stocktakes, cycle counts and inventory reconciliations.
• Investigating inventory discrepancies and identifying ways to improve accuracy.
• Helping identify excess, obsolete and slow-moving inventory.
• Supporting purchasing, goods receipting and invoice matching.
• Turning inventory and cost data into useful information for the operation.
• Working directly with Maintenance and Operations to understand material requirements.
• Finding better ways to manage warehouse systems, processes and storage practices.

About You

• A completed or near-completed degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Engineering or another relevant discipline.
• Strong numerical and analytical capability, with an interest in working with data and solving problems.
• Strong attention to detail and confidence using Microsoft Excel, with a willingness to further develop analytical skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different people and teams.
• A genuine commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement.
• A current Queensland Class C Driver Licence, or the ability to obtain one before commencement.
• Ability to learn SAP or another ERP system.

Bravus Mining and Resources' Carmichael mine is an open cut thermal coal mine in the North Galilee Basin, approximately 160 kilometres northwest of the town of Clermont.Carmichael produces more than 12 million tonnes of thermal coal for the export market each year.
