Job summary

The Geelong College invites applications for our 2027 Graduate Teacher Program, commencing Term 1, 2027. This two-year, full-time program provides a guided introduction to teaching with direct support from school leaders and an experienced mentor, helping graduates progress toward provisional and then full registration with the VIT.

Successful applicants will join a fixed-term, 1.0 FTE contract for two years.

Qualifications

• Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting module completed.
• Be an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Provide academic transcripts for all university qualifications.
• Obtain provisional registration with VIT before commencement.
• For Years 7–12, hold a Bachelor’s degree in a discipline other than teaching.
• Strong pre-service teacher placement reports.
• Hold current First Aid, CPR, and asthma qualifications (on appointment).
• Completion of anaphylaxis qualification (on appointment).
