Job summary

SW is seeking a Graduate for Tax who will work with our tax team to support the preparation of returns, research tax issues, and communicate with clients. This role offers exposure to diverse clients and industries within Australia, with structured mentorship and real hands‑on experience in tax advisory.

You will be mentored by senior Partners, participate in a buddy program, and gain access to Chartered Accountant studies sponsorship as part of your career progression.

Qualifications

• Student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Commerce or Business with accounting emphasis.
• Interest in tax and advisory services for clients across markets.
• Willingness to learn and develop professional skills in a supportive firm environment.
• Demonstrated teamwork and proactive communication abilities.
• Eligibility to work in Australia (citizenship or permanent residency).

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of tax returns and tax issues identification.
• Support research and preparation of tax advice for clients.
• Draft client emails to gather ATO information and documents.
• Prepare Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements.
• Liaise with the ATO and revenue departments as needed.
• Contribute to drafting tax alerts and client communications.
