Job summary

APM Group’s Early Start Australia Graduate program in Toowong, Brisbane, supports you from day one with clinical supervision, mentoring, and a structured 12-month pathway to independent practice for children and families. You’ll deliver early intervention speech pathology, conduct assessments, develop tailored therapy plans, and collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams.

The program offers a buddy, 1:1 supervision, CPD and development leave, flexible options, and relocation support

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Speech Pathology.
• SPA registration or membership.
• Current Driver’s Licence and vehicle.
• Working with Children Check or Working with Vulnerable People registration.
• NDIS workers screening check & Police Check.
• Accredited first aid & CPR certificate.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Excellent observational and report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver early intervention speech pathology services to children and families, supporting communication, participation, and independence.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments (formal and informal) to identify speech, language, and developmental needs.
• Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based therapy plans aligned with family goals and child needs.
• Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams using a key worker/transdisciplinary approach.
• Monitor, review, and adapt therapy programs based on client progress and feedback.
• Provide education, resources, and ongoing support to empower families in decision-making and home-based practice.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and NDIS-related records within required timeframes.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders (e.g., schools, health professionals, support coordinators) to support client outcomes.
