Job Title: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Camden, North London
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Full-Time | Monday – Friday

Are you a recent graduate with a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in education as a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant in a specialised SEN school in Camden — a setting where compassion meets progress and every achievement counts.

You’ll be joining a warm, dedicated team that supports children with Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role will give you hands-on classroom experience and the chance to develop the skills needed for a future career in psychology, therapy, or teaching.

What You’ll Be Doing

Provide 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils reach their individual learning goals.

Assist teachers in adapting lessons to suit each child’s learning style and ability.

Encourage communication, confidence, and social interaction through creative and practical activities.

Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.

Help maintain an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment where every pupil feels valued.

What We’re Looking For

A recent graduate (Psychology, Education, or related discipline preferred).

Genuine enthusiasm for working with children with SEN.

Strong communication, empathy, and adaptability.

Ability to remain calm and patient under pressure.

An Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply).
