Job summary

The University of Melbourne invites applications for two Graduate Researcher Academic Associate positions in the School of Electrical, Mechanical and Infrastructure Engineering. These part-time roles (0.2–0.3 FTE) are fixed-term for 24 months, with duties spanning sessional teaching, resource development, and student support.

Qualifications

• Enrolled graduate researcher (PhD or research doctorate) in IT/Engineering.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to support teaching and student learning across sessions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sessional teaching activities (tutorials, labs, field work).
• Develop teaching resources for Undergraduate and Masters subjects.
• Conduct student consultations and provide assessment feedback.
• Monitor discussion boards and participate in marking.
• Improve accessibility and inclusivity of teaching materials and Canvas LMS.
