The University of Melbourne invites applications for a Graduate Researcher Academic Associate in the School of Computing and Information Systems. This part-time, fixed-term position aligns with candidature and offers paid teaching development while pursuing your PhD.

You will design and deliver CIS teaching activities, support students, and contribute to assessments, with access to university teaching development and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a FEIT graduate research degree with at least 18 months remaining in candidature.
• Strong disciplinary knowledge in CIS clusters such as programming, AI, or cybersecurity.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for university teaching and supporting diverse student cohorts.

Responsabilités

• Design and deliver tutorials, workshops, labs and applied sessions using engaging pedagogical approaches.
• Support students through consultations, forums, revision sessions and timely responses.
• Contribute to assessment design, marking, feedback and academic integrity processes.
• Administer subject delivery on Canvas, manage extensions and liaise with casual teaching staff.
• Maintain and support EdTech like Ed, FeedbackFruits, JupyterHub and GitHub.
