Job summary

Kyabram District Health Service invites graduates to join its Graduate Nurse program in aged care for a 12-month fixed term. The role focuses on building knowledge and leadership skills in aged care, with potential for ongoing employment upon successful completion.

You will be supported by the education team, clinical support nurses and nurse unit managers, gaining hands-on experience across KDHS campuses in Kyabram, Stanhope and Tongala.

Qualifications

• Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
• Be registered through PMCV and allocate Kyabram District Health Service as a preference.
• Basic knowledge of patient management and information systems.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and commitment to team objectives.
• Demonstrated evidence of excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Competent computer skills and knowledge of patient management and information technology systems.
• Ability to work across KDHS in the event of clinical escalation.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Registered Nurse to join the Graduate Nurse program in a supportive clinical environment. Graduates in the program will spend 12 months in aged care and the program will incorporate time building knowledge and skills to working in aged care leadership roles including shift management.

The program offers you the opportunity to consolidate nursing theory and practice. You are supported by the education team, clinical support nurses and nurse unit managers.

Upon successful completion of the program, Graduates are offered the opportunity of ongoing employment opportunities.
