Job summary

KINNECT is offering the 2027 Graduate Program for Rehabilitation Counsellors across Australia, including regional Queensland. You will join a structured pathway with supervision, mentoring and a peer network to support your early career in workplace rehabilitation.

As a graduate, you will assess psychosocial and vocational factors, provide counselling, develop return-to-work plans and collaborate with employers, insurers and clinicians across our national network.

Qualifications

• Graduate-level qualification in psychology, counselling, or related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to undertake psychosocial and vocational assessments.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a multidisciplinary setting.

Your Pathway to Success

Rehabilitation Counsellors are central to what we do. You will support injured workers through the psychosocial and vocational side of recovery, which is where return to work is either won or lost. With our guidance you will build skills to:

• Assess the psychosocial, vocational and environmental factors affecting an injured worker’s recovery.
• Provide counselling and goal setting support to address barriers to return to work.
• Facilitate communication between injured workers, employers, insurers and treating practitioners.
• Develop tailored return to work plans and case manage complex claims with comprehensive reporting.
• Conduct vocational and employability assessments, including labour market research and transferable skills analysis.
