Job summary

Transgrid’s 2028 Graduate Program starts February 2028, a two-year journey with four 6-month rotations across different business areas. You’ll gain hands-on experience, learn from industry experts, and contribute to Australia’s clean energy future.

From day one you are a trusted contributor with mentorship and tailored learning, supporting major infrastructure projects and the transition to renewable energy in a flexible, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Currently in final year or hold an Information Technology, Cyber Security or Computer Science degree.
• Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or eligible visa.
• Graduated or graduating by January 2028.
• Available to attend an in-person Assessment Centre, in May 2027.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork, clear communication, problem-solving skills and interest in sustainability and social responsibility.

You’ll need to:

• Hold or be in your final year of anInformation Technology, Cyber Security or Computer Science degree
• Be anAustralian or New Zealand Citizen,Permanent Resident, or hold an eligible working visa

• Be available to attend anin-person Assessment Centre, in May 2027.

Your Graduate Recruitment Journey

1. Check your eligibility
   • Make sure you meet the degree and program requirements before applying.
2. Express your interest
   • Complete your expression of interest using Prosple, ready to be notified when applications open in 2027.
3. Submit your application
   • Once applications open in 2027, create a profile on our careers portal and tell us about yourself, your studies, and what interests you about Transgrid in your resume and cover letter.
4. Application review
   • Our Early Careers recruitment team will review your application and keep you updated on your progress.
5. Online behavioural and cognitive testing
   • If shortlisted, you’ll be invited to complete a 15-minute online game-based assessment measuring problem solving, numerical reasoning, and verbal skills, plus a 5-minute behavioural assessment to assess workplace fit and key competencies.
6. One-way video interview
   • Candidates who are shortlisted will be invited to complete a short video interview, giving you the chance to share more about who you are and what motivates you.
7. Shortlisting
   • Our team will review video interviews and let you know the outcome.
8. In-person Assessment Centre
   • Successful candidates will be invited to attend our Assessment Centre in Ultimo between 4-8 May 2026, where you’ll take part in group activities, practical tasks, and interviews.
9. Pre-employment checks
   • Final candidates will complete standard pre‑employment checks.
10. Offers made
    • Successful candidates will receive a verbal offer followed by a formal written offer via email.
