Job summary

Dormer Stanhope Lawyers is a boutique NSW firm specialising in Succession Law. We seek a motivated Graduate Lawyer to join our growing Wills & Estates team, gaining direct client contact and hands-on experience in contentious estate matters from day one.

You will work on complex disputes in NSW Supreme Court, drafting affidavits, researching succession law, and advising executors and beneficiaries under the guidance of senior lawyers.

Qualifications

• Law degree with strong academic results in Succession/Estates Law subjects.
• Admission to practise in NSW (or eligible for immediate admission).
• Keen interest in equity and succession law.
• Excellent written communication and research skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Develop expertise in family provision claims, contested probate applications and will disputes.
• Draft high-quality legal documents and affidavits; conduct legal research on succession law.
• Interview witnesses and brief counsel; provide guidance to executors and beneficiaries.
• Collaborate with senior lawyers and participate in development programs.
• Support clients through estate disputes and build professional network.
