Job summary

MW Recruitment partners with a well established Toowoomba accounting practice to recruit an accountant at graduate to intermediate level. You will work across a broad client base including individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships.

You'll receive hands-on mentoring from experienced accountants and Partners, study support toward CA or CPA, and a clear pathway from graduate through to Senior Accountant. Flexible hours with occasional work-from-home are available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Commerce, or nearing completion.
• CA or CPA qualified, or currently working towards it.
• Public practice experience is helpful but not essential.
• Strong technical foundation and genuine desire to keep learning.
• Friendly, well organised and comfortable asking questions.

Responsibilities

• Preparing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships.
• Preparing BAS and assisting with FBT lodgements.
• Completing workpapers, reconciliations and general ledger reviews.
• Researching tax and accounting queries with guidance from senior staff.
• Communicating with clients to gather information and answer queries.
• Taking on more complex work and client contact as you progress.

A well established accounting practice in Toowoomba is looking to bring on an accountant at graduate to intermediate level. The firm has served the Darling Downs community for many years, working with a strong mix of local businesses, agribusiness operators and private clients who value having a team they know and trust.

THE ROLE:
You will join a friendly team and work through a portfolio of clients, with the level of complexity growing as your skills and confidence develop.

THE INDIVIDUAL:
