BESIX Watpac is seeking a Graduate Engineer to join our Construction SA division on a part-time basis, working through to our graduate program which will allow you to see all facets of the construction industry including Engineering, Design, Estimating and Safety this is a fantastic opportunity for a university student to secure a role with a Top Tier building contractor.

You will take part of our BESIX Watpac Graduate and Early Career Development Program.

Qualifications

• Currently studying a university-level degree in Construction Management or Engineering or related discipline.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and willing to learn new software packages as required.
• Demonstrated professionalism, work ethic, timeliness, accuracy, and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost plans and tenders by reviewing project requirements and compiling tender documentation.
• Support quality assurance and safety management by monitoring standards and documenting non-conformances.
• Contribute to estimating and project controls through quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and budget forecasts.
• Assist with general site duties, office and administration as required.

Job Description

BESIX Watpac is seeking a Graduate Engineer to join our Construction SA division on a part-time basis, working through to our graduate program which will allow you to see all facets of the construction industry including Engineering, Design, Estimating and Safety this is a fantastic opportunity for a university student to secure a role with a Top Tier building contractor.

You will take part of our BESIX Watpac Graduate and Early Career Development Program. This program aims to develop and grow our future leaders. This two-year program builds technical knowledge within the context of an on-the-job environment and provides opportunities to develop professional business and leadership skills. BESIX Watpac Graduates & Cadets gain exposure to various areas of project delivery, and come together for learning workshops, networking, and social events.

This role will be responsible for:

• Assist in preparing cost plans and tenders by reviewing project requirements, compiling tender documentation, and coordinating proposed tender lists.
• Support quality assurance and safety management processes by monitoring compliance with project standards, documenting non-conformances, and assisting with the implementation of corrective actions.
• Contribute to estimating and project controls activities through quantity take-offs, cost analysis, subcontractor scope reviews, procurement support, and the preparation of tender submissions and budget forecasts.
• Assist with general site duties, office and administration as required.

Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require:

• Currently studying a university-level degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and ability and willingness to learn new software packages as required.
• Proven high level of professionalism and work ethic.
• Proven track record and ongoing focus on timeliness, accuracy and punctuality.
