Job summary

BMT Group in Perth seeks a Graduate Dredging and Coastal Engineer to support dredging, coastal and marine projects under the guidance of experienced engineers and project managers.

The role focuses on conceptual designs, production costing models, and project coordination for dredging projects, with opportunities in reclamation and coastal engineering. Open to recent graduates and upcoming graduates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering, or Marine Engineering.
• Interest in dredging, coastal engineering, marine infrastructure or environmental management projects.
• Basic understanding of coastal and marine environments and processes.
• Exposure to GIS, CAD, MATLAB, or project management tools.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in engineering/consulting including proposals and managing customers or external stakeholders.
• Unrestricted and permanent work rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to dredging, coastal and marine projects to scope, time, cost and quality requirements.
• Support dredging feasibility studies and design concepts.
• Assist with data analysis and numerical modelling.
• Collaborate with coastal engineers, environmental scientists, GIS and approvals specialists.
• Apply engineering principles to dredging and coastal projects.
• Build a professional network across Australia, UK and Singapore.
