Austin Health in Melbourne is offering a 2-year rotational graduate program for newly graduated dietitians. In year one you will join Repatriation Inpatient and Ambulatory Care streams; year two focuses on Specialist Medicine. You will be guided by senior dietitians and participate in PDP development and professional sessions.

You will rotate across wards such as orthopaedics and endocrinology, with opportunities to contribute to quality improvement and patient education resources.

Qualifications

• Qualified to practice as a dietitian in Australia (DA) and meet APD criteria.
• Graduated from a Dietetics course in or after December 2025.
• Six months or less of clinical practice in a hospital setting.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, reflective and willing to learn.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and workload management.
• Effective nutrition counselling and patient-centred care.

Responsabilités

• Rotate between Repatriation Inpatient/Ambulatory Care and Specialist Medicine streams.
• Inpatient wards and endocrinology outpatient clinics in first year.
• Work with a senior dietitian supervisor and a PDP program.
• Attend journal clubs and case presentations; contribute to quality improvement.
• Support patient education resource review and development.
