BMT Group is seeking a Graduate Combat Systems (C4I) Engineer to kick-start a career in the Defence and Maritime space in Melbourne. Work alongside experienced engineers, with mentoring and real project impact from day one.

You’ll contribute to integration of combat management, communications and weapons on naval vessels, supported by a culture of learning, flexible hybrid working from our Melbourne CBD office and home.

Qualifications

• A relevant Engineering degree (such as Computer Systems, Electronics or Communications).
• Excellent written communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Well-developed problem diagnosis and solving skills.
• Effective time management skills and strong attention to detail.
• The motivation and drive to develop your technical capabilities in a multi-discipline engineering environment within a highly supportive team.

Responsabilités

• Perform specialist design and engineering in the integration of combat management systems, communications, weapons and sensor systems on naval vessels.
• Provide Combat Systems/C4I engineering support and guidance within whole of ship teams involving all technical disciplines of Naval Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical and Combat Systems Integration.
• Undertake Engineering projects from Engineering investigations, through design concepts and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) interaction, all the way through preliminary and detail design to production implementation and customer acceptance; and
• Represent the company on a professional and technical basis with our Defence/Navy clients, with our customers within the defence Industry and with the broader Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and system supplier community.
