Job summary

City of Whittlesea is seeking a Graduate Building Surveyor to join our Building Services team. This is a local government role offering exposure to assessments, compliance work and customer service across rural and urban settings.

You will undertake assessments of Report & Consent Applications, Over Easement Applications, and assist with Building Notices/Orders, with occasional site inspections. A relevant tertiary qualification and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate level role requiring a tertiary qualification in building surveying.
• Current driver’s license is required.
• Experience in building surveying is preferred but not essential.

As part of the Building Services Team, you will work closely with internal stakeholders/Community.

Working on:

• Assessments of Report & Consent Applications
• Assessments of Over Easement Applications
• Assisting with compliance and enforcement work
• Assisting with the generation of Building Notices/Orders
• Customer Service in the form of phone, email and counter enquiries
• Occasionally attend site inspections with more senior members of the team

You will thrive in this role if you:

• Have a can-do and respectful attitude with a strong team focus
• Have a relevant tertiary qualification in building surveying.
• Have building surveying experience, however this is preferred but not essential
• Have a current valid driver’s license
