You will work with experienced practitioners on insurance litigation matters, focusing on public and product liability and professional indemnity across sectors such as strata, sports and construction.

As a Graduate, you will gain exposure to different areas of law, receive mentoring, and have access to professional development including PLT support.

• Completed a recognised undergraduate or postgraduate law degree in Australia within the last 2 years.
• Willingness to complete Practical Legal Training (PLT).
• Interest in insurance law and professional indemnity.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven Graduate to join our high-performing Professional and Financial Risks team in our Sydney office. We are seeking a motivated individual who has gained experience as a paralegal, law clerk or graduate and is interested in developing a career in insurance litigation.

This role will allow you to work alongside experienced practitioners on a broad range of insurance law and litigation matters, with a focus on public and product liability insurance and professional indemnity. You will work across different industry sectors, with a particular focus on the strata, sports, leisure and construction industries sectors.

• Gain exposure to different areas of law providing a solid foundation for the beginning of your legal career
• Work on real matters from day one, supporting our lawyers in delivering practical, commercially focused legal solutions

About you

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Completed a recognised undergraduate or post-graduate degree in law in Australia within the last 2 years, and have completed or be willing to complete your Practical Legal Training (PLT)
• A genuine interest in insurance and professional indemnity
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Capacity to problem solve and think laterally
• Firmly established time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities effectively
• A sharp eye for detail and strong writing skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a strong sense of initiative and autonomy
• A great work ethic and be keen to learn and develop your career
