Oaktree Family Medical Centre in Moranbah, QLD, is seeking a VR GP for a cash-rich, mixed-billing practice. The role offers a $200/hour guarantee for the first 3 months, then 65% of billings. Expect 20–30 patients daily, and weekends are rostered across five GPs.

Trial stints of 2–3 weeks are available with relocation accommodation provided. The clinic supports AGPAL and RSHQ standards with modern IT and an on-site team.

Oaktree Family Medical Centre – Moranbah QLD

General Practitioner (VR) | $200/hr (3months) Guarantee | Moranbah QLD

The Role

Remuneration: $200/hour guarantee for the first 3 months, then 65% of billings

Billing model: Mixed billing with a strong private base

Average gross billings: $2,500 to $5,000 per day

Occupational Health: Optional and encouraged

Weekends: Saturday 8:00 am to 1:00 pm and Sunday 9:00 am to 11:00 am, shared across a 5-GP roster

On-call: No hospital work or hospital on-call. Occasional light mine-site injury on-call

Relocation: Temporary accommodation provided

Non-VR GPs (General Registration)
$100 to $150/hour for the first 3 months, then 40% to 65% of billings depending on pathway, progress and experience. We are an FSP and ACRRM accredited practice.

Supervisor Opportunity
We currently have doctors working under supervision and are looking for an experienced GP to help share the supervision load as a Primary Supervisor or Co-Supervisor. This is optional and comes with an additional weekly incentive:

Primary Supervisor (Level 1): $1,000/week

Ideal for a VR GP with supervision experience or an interest in teaching.

Try Before You Commit
Relocating is a big decision, so we offer a short trial stint of 2 to 3 weeks before you commit to the permanent role. It’s a chance to meet the team, see how the practice runs and get a feel for life in Moranbah. Short-term accommodation is provided during your trial.
