Job summary

SystemCanada is seeking a capable professional to lead a team of architecture professionals in the network and unified communications space, combining hands-on architecture with management responsibilities.

You will work with Account Managers, Project Managers and Senior Solutions Consultants to develop and present offerings, mentor staff, and build senior-level relationships with clients and vendors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a Services or Solutions Management role with both technical and business experience.
• Tertiary qualifications in technical or business discipline.
• Experience delivering UC solutions and VoIP/Voice in enterprise networks.
• Proven ability to design and implement complex network solutions.
• Strong understanding of UC and voice network principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Solutions Architecture Team and collaborate with Account Managers and PMO.
• Develop and drive the solutions architecture vision and strategy with senior stakeholders.
• Ensure effective operation of the design authority across project delivery.
• Build relationships with vendors and clients to create end-to-end solutions.
• Drive process improvements in solution development and quality systems.
• Stay ahead of industry trends in UC, VoIP and networking.

Job Description

As part of the core customer solutions team you will be responsible for leading an experienced team of architecture professionals in the network and unified communications space.

This is a role that is split between hands on architecture and management.

You will ideally come from a background working for a Professional Services firm or a large IT integrator.

You Will be responsible for;

• With the support of the Technical Operations Manager and Services Director, help develop and drive the solutions architecture vision and strategy
• Engage with the Technical Services Team Leader and PMO Director to ensure effective operation of the design authority for all project delivery
• This is a dual role, with both Team Lead and Solution Architect requirements.
• Responsibilities as a Solution Architect are to work closely with Account Managers, Project Managers and Senior Solutions Consultants to develop, present and deliver solution offerings to the clients
• Coach, mentor manage all members of the Solutions Architecture Team
• Build senior level relationships with key stakeholders, colleagues and vendors to generate solutions for end clients
• Drive business improvement initiatives through the refinement of solution development processes and quality systems
• Maintain an understanding of industry trends in the market place including innovative technical and competitive trends.

You will be able to demonstrate;

• 5+ years experience in a Services or Solutions Management role with both technical and business experience
• Tertiary qualifications in a technical and or business discipline
• Experience providing technical solution offerings within the unified communication space
• Experience delivering complex network solutions within an enterprise environment
• Extensive experience designing and implementing complex VoIP and Voice solutions (WAN/LAN)
• Solid understanding of Voice and UC principles (traditional and IP) and network interface principles
