Job summary

Seqwater in Queensland seeks a Project Officer – Governance to provide high-level governance and administrative support across the Infrastructure Planning and Capital Delivery portfolio, enabling timely project delivery in a fast-paced environment where confidentiality, organisation and communication are essential.

Joining Seqwater means supporting governance meetings, papers and reports, maintaining systems, and helping identify risks and improvements across projects, with a salary and 12.75%

Qualifications

• A suitable combination of comprehensive experience in administration and/or executive personal assistant skills.
• Demonstrated experience providing high level administrative support in a project environment
• Knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of Seqwater’s Project Gateway processes and systems.
• An understanding of the general principles surrounding project management.
• Demonstrated experience in establishing high levels of trust, integrity and responsibility in supporting the work of Project Managers and other internal stakeholders throughout the business.
• Experience in developing and maintaining effective office systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate governance meetings, including scheduling, stakeholder engagement, agendas, minutes and action tracking.
• Prepare, review and distribute governance papers, reports and presentations to support informed decision-making.
• Maintain governance systems, processes and tools to ensure compliance and effective tracking of project activities.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of governance submissions and project gateway deliverables to ensure standards are met.
• Monitor and report on committee decisions, actions and approvals, driving outcomes through to completion.
• Partner with project teams and stakeholders to identify risks, resolve issues and continuously improve governance processes and performance.
