North East Water is seeking a Team Leader Governance to provide strategic leadership for the corporate governance function. You will support the Board's agenda, reports and minutes, and drive governance policies and training across the organisation.

The role offers a full-time ongoing position with hybrid working options and a comprehensive benefits package, including salary, superannuation, and professional development opportunities. Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.

Qualificações

• Extensive experience in governance and board/committee support, preferably within the Victorian public sector.
• Experience providing leadership, support and guidance with the ability to train employees.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality board papers.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate activities, procedures and documents to promote good governance practices.
• Proficient with computer software including agenda/minute management systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure the quality and timeliness of Board and Committee agendas, papers and workshop materials including overseeing their preparation and distribution.
• Attend meetings to accurately record and promptly circulate minutes, actions and resolutions.
• Plan and manage the Board and Committees’ annual calendar.
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to corporate governance.
• Oversee and maintain corporate governance registers including conflicts of interest, gifts, benefits and hospitality and annual declarations.
• Provide support and strategic advice to stakeholders on governance principles and compliance.
• Develop and deliver corporate governance training programs and information sessions.
• Support the Manager Governance, Risk & Communications with the administration of the Internal Audit function.
• Lead and maintain our corporate bookshelf and monitor currency and adoption of policies and procedures.
• Process requests under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 and Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 within statutory timeframes.
• Identify and implement improvements to Board governance and integrity processes and systems.
