Job summary

Cromer Golf Club, located on Sydney's Northern Beaches, seeks a motivated Golf Course Foreman to join its professional course management team. Reporting to the Course Superintendent, you will coordinate daily maintenance and ensure high standards of presentation.

The successful applicant will lead staff, oversee agronomic programs, irrigation management and contribute to course development with a focus on safety and environmental practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in golf course maintenance and turf management.
• Certificate IV or Diploma in Turf Management or related field highly regarded.
• AQF Level 3 chemical application certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily golf course maintenance activities to maintain high-quality playing surfaces.
• Lead, train and support course maintenance staff, including staff induction and ongoing development.
• Assist with planning and implementation of agronomic programs, including fertiliser, chemical and pest management applications.
• Oversee course-wide irrigation operations, including system maintenance, troubleshooting and water management.
• Implement bentgrass management practices to maintain and improve playing surface quality.
• Supervise and assist with course construction, renovation and improvement projects.
• Support WHS and environmental management procedures and ongoing efficiency improvements.

This private golf club offers first-class facilities in a picturesque bushland setting, featuring native flora, abundant birdlife and a challenging layout incorporating strategically placed bunkers, creeks and wetlands. The Opportunity

Cromer Golf Club is seeking a motivated and experienced Golf Course Foreman to join its progressive and professional course management team.

Reporting to the Course Superintendent, the successful applicant will work closely with the Assistant Superintendent to coordinate daily course maintenance operations and maintain consistently high standards of course presentation.

The role offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated turf management professional with strong technical knowledge, leadership skills and a commitment to continuous improvement. The successful applicant will play an important role in staff supervision, agronomic practices, irrigation management and ongoing course development.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily golf course maintenance activities to maintain high-quality playing surfaces.

Qualifications

• A Certificate IV, Diploma or other qualification in Turf Management or a related field would be highly regarded.
• AQF Level 3 chemical application certification, or an equivalent qualification, is desirable.
