Pearson Carter Limited is seeking a Go Developer to help build high-performance backend services within a cloud-native, distributed system environment. The role offers a hybrid work setup in Brisbane with 3 days in the office and permanent, full-time employment.

You will design, develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and distributed components, collaborating with engineers, product managers and DevOps to advance modern cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Go (Golang) experience.
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and concurrency.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services and microservices using Go.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations.
• Develop scalable distributed systems and optimise performance.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes to support containerised apps.
• Implement automated testing and contribute to code reviews.
• Collaborate with DevOps to improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor production systems and troubleshoot issues.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and engineering best practices.
