Job summary

Austranna in the Greater Ipswich Region is seeking an experienced Production/Manufacturing Manager to lead operations at a highly regulated facility. You will manage daily production, drive GMP compliance, improve processes and build a high-performing team across Post-Harvest, Quality, Engineering and Supply Chain to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes.

The role requires hands-on leadership, excellent problem-solving, and the ability to implement change in a developing operational environment

Qualifications

• Experience leading manufacturing operations in highly regulated industries.
• Strong understanding of GMP and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to develop and mentor teams.
• Experience implementing process improvements.
• Excellent cross-department collaboration and communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily production operations to meet targets and quality standards.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Build and develop a high-performing production team across functions.
• Ensure GMP, quality systems, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee production planning, scheduling and resource allocation.
• Support equipment commissioning, process validation and readiness activities.
• Identify opportunities to boost productivity and reduce waste.
• Collaborate across departments to resolve operational challenges.
