Job description

ViewJobs is an Australian employment and education marketplace. Regional at heart and national in reach, we connect people with jobs, education pathways and career support so they can take charge of what comes next in their working lives.

We partner with Australian Community Media across its network of regional and metropolitan mastheads, as well as education providers and employers around the country. We're a small Melbourne-based team building a platform that gets to know where a person is in their career, shows where they could go and connects them to what gets them there.

  • Shape the voice of a growing national brand
  • Work directly with the MD and leadership team
  • Budget for the creation and AI tools you need
  • Hybrid from our Southbank office

The role

  • You'll give the brand one consistent voice – practical, warm and direct – and turn platform data, graduate and employer stories and leadership perspectives into content that earns attention and moves people to act. Reporting to the Executive General Manager, you'll work closely with our media and partnerships, growth, design and employer teams.

What you'll be doing

  • Social media: own our organic presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube for the company and leadership profiles – planning, publishing, community management and reporting
  • Content and narrative: turn the brand strategy into content pillars, a messaging framework and an editorial calendar; write and produce posts, short-form video, articles, email and landing page copy, and case studies
  • Thought leadership: build and run a programme with the Managing Director and leadership team, placing articles and commentary on work, careers, regional employment and education across our media partner titles and beyond
  • Campaigns: deliver the social and content side of integrated campaigns, including media partner editorial and paid social creative with our Head of Growth
  • Creation and tooling: run the content stack – design, video editing, scheduling, listening, analytics and AI tools – and roll out the refreshed visual identity
  • Measurement: set the KPIs, keep a weekly dashboard and monthly insight report, and adjust the calendar on the evidence
  • External partners: brief and manage agencies, freelancers and creators for video, design and copy
  • Employer and B2B content: create content for employers, education partners and talent solutions audiences, including product and partnership announcements
  • Governance: look after the social media policy, approvals, consent for stories and imagery, and advertising disclosure

What success looks like

First 90 days

  • Channel audit done, with a baseline dashboard and agreed targets
  • Content pillars, messaging framework and a rolling six-week calendar in use
  • First thought leadership pieces drafted and placed
  • A roster of freelancers and creators briefed and ready

Six to twelve months

  • Audience, engagement and click-through growing on every active channel
  • A steady monthly flow of editorial, graduate and employer stories
  • Leads and applications from organic content tracked alongside paid
  • The refreshed brand live across every social and content touchpoint

About you

You’ll bring

  • Experience planning, running and reporting on social campaigns across the major platforms, organic and ideally paid
  • Deep working knowledge of social creation and tracking tools – scheduling, listening, analytics, design and short-form video editing
  • B2B content and social experience for employer, partner or professional audiences (B2C experience is welcome too)
  • AI fluency – you use AI tools daily for drafting, repurposing, visuals and analysis, and pick up new tools quickly
  • Strong writing and editing in plain, warm Australian English
  • Comfort producing short-form video, whether shooting, editing or directing
  • The drive to own a calendar, hit deadlines and ask for what you need

Nice to have

  • Experience managing agency, freelance or creator resource
  • Brand platform, messaging framework or thought leadership experience
  • A background in employment, education, media, marketplace or community-focused businesses
  • Experience with regional or community audiences
  • Paid social campaign management and basic design skills

What we offer

  • A permanent, full-time role in a growing Australian company with a national audience
  • The chance to help bring a brand refresh to life
  • Hybrid working from our Southbank office in Melbourne, with equipment supplied
  • 20 days annual leave and 10 days personal/carer's leave, plus all NES entitlements
  • Budget for the tools you need, and a team that expects you to use them
  • Direct access to the Managing Director and leadership team
