Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager or Senior Manager to lead the Global Compliance and Reporting CoE’s Statutory Reporting practice in a hybrid Sydney-based role. You will oversee global engagements, drive consistent financial statement preparation, and seek process improvements for clients.

The role requires a qualified accountant with IFRS/US-GAAP knowledge, strong leadership, and a track record in multinational client environments.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with extensive professional experience in audit/accounting, ideally working with global clients.
• IFRS and/or US-GAAP knowledge.
• Ability to distil complex concepts into simple messages.
• Extensive accounting experience in finance operations or accounting roles within a professional services firm with knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills to manage client engagements and lead a team.
• Track record of leading successful pursuits and managing large international teams.
• Analytical acumen with the ability to interpret complex financial data, provide strategic insights, and drive impactful solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team responsible for delivering statutory reporting services, including statutory financial statement preparation and GAAP Bridging.
• Design, implement and govern a globally consistent, centrally driven financial statement preparation process.
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand challenges and identify opportunities to improve financial operations.
