Job summary

DNEG Australia in Sydney is seeking a Systems Administrator to support and improve our Linux‑based IT infrastructure. You will provide day‑to‑day 2nd/3rd line support on a global scale, and work on projects to sustain and grow our systems.

You will manage NetApp and Dell fire servers (XFS, NFS, CIFS), maintain MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, and ensure SaltStack and Jenkins run smoothly. Strong scripting in Python/Perl/Bash and version control with Git and Subversion are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Systems Administrator.
• Extensive experience working with Linux systems.
• Excellent knowledge of Python, Perl and Bash.
• Extensive experience with Git and Subversion.
• Experience with ticketing systems, ideally JIRA.
• Ability to articulate complex technical information to non-technical people.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support to our global infrastructure.
• Work on day-to-day operations and projects to sustain and improve systems.
• Manage NetApp and Dell fire servers running XFS, NFS, CIFS.
• Maintain large MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
• Ensure SaltStack and Jenkins are operating correctly.
• Use monitoring systems (Sensu, Graphite, Ganglia) for reporting and diagnosis.
