Job summary

CoinJar, Inc. is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Compliance to lead our global compliance function.

This senior, hands-on role oversees Australia, the UK, Europe and the United States, providing strategic guidance to the Board and regulators while translating requirements into effective controls. You will own the Australian AML/CTF program, coordinate regional MLROs and FinCrime teams, drive audits and improvements, and foster a collaborative, innovative environment with

Qualifications

• Significant senior compliance / AML/CTF experience in financial services or fintech.
• Strong knowledge of Australian AML/CTF obligations and regulatory expectations.
• Ability to advise executives and translate regulatory requirements into pragmatic controls.
• Experience coordinating compliance across multiple jurisdictions is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
• Own and oversee Australian AML/CTF program, including CDD/KYC and monitoring.
• Lead AML/CTF program reviews, audits and remediation efforts.
• Act as designated AML/CTF Compliance Officer with AUSTRAC and lead regulatory engagement.
• Oversee transaction monitoring, enhanced due diligence, and case management controls.
• Coordinate with Legal, FinCrime and business teams to translate regulatory requirements into controls.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory licensing regimes and related obligations.
• Oversee complaints, incidents, breaches and regulatory notifications.
• Provide input on new products, tokens, customer journeys and business changes.
• Lead regional Compliance Managers and MLROs and coordinate training.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise the Board on material changes.
