Job summary

Nucleus Network is Australia’s leading Phase 1 clinical research organisation with global reach. We invite a seasoned Head of Clinical Development to oversee a portfolio of awarded trials and drive strategic planning, startup, governance, budgeting and contractual delivery across clinical units.

In this senior role, you will build strong client relationships, ensure occupancy and revenue targets, and lead Ethics & Regulatory and Contracts teams in a fast-growing, globally connected environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or related Life Sciences discipline.
• Minimum 12 years' clinical research experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Extensive knowledge of clinical trials and clinical research operations.
• Strong strategic, analytical and commercial acumen.
• Proven leadership experience with ability to influence and develop high-performing teams.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in Phase 1 clinical trials and CRO/pharma environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the global Clinical Development function and awarded clinical trial portfolio.
• Drive strategic planning, operational integration and delivery of organisational objectives.
• Oversee Clinical Development, Ethics & Regulatory and Contracts teams to achieve study milestones.
• Oversee study timelines, budgets, contracts, planning and risk assessments.
• Develop and maintain sponsor, client, vendor and stakeholder relationships; monitor portfolio economics.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with ICH-GCP and applicable regulations.
• Lead process improvements and drive best-practice standards in clinical research.
• Collaborate across global units to ensure operational success.
