Propeller is hiring a Finance Manager in Sydney to own the engine room of our global finance function. You will lead month-end close, payroll, accounts payable, and reconciliations, and drive AI-enabled automation to speed reporting and controls.

As Propeller scales across Australia, the US, the Philippines and Europe, you will ensure compliance, coordinate audits, and partner with People, Legal and business leaders on strategic initiatives. Hybrid work is supported.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and CA/CPA qualification.
• 5+ years of relevant experience including month-end close ownership.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge across global month-end processes.
• Experience with AI tools in finance or accounting context.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across time zones.

Mansioni

• Own global month-end close, deliver journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
• Lead BAU finance operations for accounts payable, payroll, banking and treasury.
• Manage compliance and tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions with external advisors.
• Coordinate annual audit and statutory accounts preparation.
• Partner with People, Legal and leaders on payroll changes and spend approvals.
• Identify system and process improvements to reduce manual work and improve data quality.
• Use AI to speed up reconciliations, reporting and documentation while maintaining controls.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and support on finance projects and strategic initiatives.
