Job summary

Vinarchy is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Global IT team in Melbourne. You will build and support data pipelines, enable BI and analytics across Vinarchy, collaborating with stakeholders, IT teams and senior data professionals.

You will design, develop and maintain reliable data pipelines, contribute to data governance and security standards, and help unlock the value of data in a growing global wine company.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Data Engineering, BI or Analytics-focused role.
• Strong SQL skills and ETL development experience.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modelling approaches.
• Exposure to analytics technologies such as Power BI or similar.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• Knowledge of data governance and security principles.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance ETL processes across data sources.
• Support design and optimisation of data models for reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with business users and IT teams to understand data requirements.
• Build and support scalable, reliable data pipelines for BI solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance and security standards.
• Monitor data environments and troubleshoot issues.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency.
