Job summary
AECOM in Perth is seeking a GIS Team Lead to elevate spatial impact across major infrastructure and consulting projects. You will lead a high‑performing team and shape GIS strategy and bidding.
You will integrate GIS, CAD and BIM to drive better decisions, develop 3D geospatial environments and automate data workflows using FME, Python and related tools.
This role offers hybrid work, collaboration with national teams and a strong focus on governance and quality across spatial data and outputs.
Qualifications
- Proven ESRI ArcGIS deployment across projects (Desktop/Portal/Online).
- Experience with Field Maps, Survey123 and Experience Builder (online/offline).
- Strong spatial data management, analysis, and visualization skills.
- Hands-on automation with FME and Python; interest in AI-enabled spatial intelligence.
- Ability to translate complex spatial concepts for non-spatial stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead Perth GIS team: coach, allocate workload, set priorities and foster an inclusive culture.
- Shape GIS bidding strategy and regional initiatives with national counterparts.
- Develop 3D geospatial environments for decision support and collaboration.
- Coordinate with BIM, CAD and platform leads to enable reliable data sources and workflows.
- Drive end-to-end GIS projects, ensuring on-time delivery and quality.
