Job summary

EBR Ever Better Recruitment is seeking a GIS Specialist to join the Information Technology team in Sydney. The role supports the GIS Manager in developing systems, and requires experience with web mapping, GeoServer, ArcGIS, and mobile toolsets such as Collector and Survey123.

The ideal candidate will have a Spatial Science / GIS degree or related experience, strong data interpretation skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. A competitive remuneration package is offered.

Your new role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicatedindividual to fill in the position of GIS Specialist and be part of asupportive team of experienced professionals within the Information Technologydepartment. This role will be critical in providing support to the GIS Managerin the development of their own system. In return, the company offers acompetitive remuneration package.

What you'll need to succeed:

• Tertiary qualification in Spatial Science /Geography, Environmental Science /GIS or comparable experience
• Agility and the capability to perform with minimal supervision
• A positive and can-do attitude
• Ability to interpret and edit geospatial vector data and geospatial imagery data
• Previous experience in coding with OpenLayers, HTML5, JavaScript, Python, AngularJS, CSS, XML, JSONand SQL
• Proven experience in working with the business to identify and capture operational requirements for integration to developed systems
• Experience developing web mapping applications and web services using GeoServer, ESRI & ArcGISincluding mobile toolset (Collector, Survey123 etc.)
