Job summary

EBR Ever Better Recruitment is seeking a GIS Specialist to support the GIS Manager in developing and maintaining spatial systems in Sydney. You will edit geospatial data, implement OpenLayers and ESRI tooling, and help deliver web mapping solutions.

The role requires a Spatial Science/Geography or related degree, strong coding skills (OpenLayers, JavaScript, Python) and experience with GeoServer, ArcGIS, Collector and Survey123. A proactive, self-driven attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Spatial Science/Geography, Environmental Science /GIS or comparable experience.
• Agility and the capability to perform with minimal supervision.
• A positive and can-do attitude.
• Ability to interpret and edit geospatial vector data and geospatial imagery data.
• Experience coding with OpenLayers, HTML5, JavaScript, Python, AngularJS, CSS, XML, JSON and SQL.
• Proven experience in working with the business to identify and capture operational requirements for integration to developed systems.
• Experience developing web mapping applications and web services using GeoServer, ESRI and ArcGIS including mobile toolset (Collector, Survey123 etc.)

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated individual to fill in the position of GIS Specialist and be part of a supportive team of experienced professionals within the Information Technology department.
