Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Wardsperson for the Geriatrics unit at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. This permanent full-time role provides supportive care, including tidying, cleaning and direct patient assistance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

• Ability to take direction and show initiative.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with others and work as part of a team.
• Awareness of Infection Control principles and Manual Handling principles.

Responsibilities

• Tidying, cleaning and duties associated with direct patient care.
• Support geriatrics patient care with personal care and feeding under RN supervision.
• Assist Nursing and health service workers to deliver effective patient care.
