Job summary

JPS Recruitment Group is seeking a Consultant Geriatrician to join a large regional health service delivering care across acute, subacute, rehabilitation, and community settings.

You will work with experienced multidisciplinary teams, with support from junior medical staff, allied health, and aged care programs. The department aims to expand geriatric capabilities and influence service delivery and planning.

Qualifications

• Fellowship of the RACP or substantially comparable qualification.
• Eligible for registration with AHPRA.
• IMG candidates assessed as substantially comparable are encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrated commitment to multidisciplinary geriatric care.

Responsibilities

• Acute geriatric assessment and evaluation.
• Orthogeriatrics and cognitive/memory assessment services.
• Rehabilitation and transition care planning.
• Falls and frailty management and prevention.
• Multidisciplinary discharge planning and coordination.
• Support and supervision of junior clinicians.
• Participation in teaching, quality improvement, and service development.
