Qualifications

• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) – Geriatric Medicine.
• AHPRA Specialist Registration (or eligibility).
• IMGs assessed by RACP as partially or substantially comparable.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute geriatric consult service.
• Support GEM/subacute inpatient units and rehabilitation-linked models of care.
• Engage in orthogeriatrics collaboration and stroke rehabilitation interfaces.
• Contribute to teaching and registrar supervision within a consultant-led service.

Consultant Geriatrician | 650+ Bed Regional Referral Centre | Victoria

We are working closely with one of Australia’s largest regional health services and are keen to connect with FRACP Geriatricians interested in a full-time role within a mature and well-established Geriatric Medicine department.

The service supports a large and ageing regional population and operates across acute geriatric consults, GEM/subacute inpatient units and rehabilitation-linked models of care.

The role offers meaningful involvement in orthogeriatrics, frailty pathways and multidisciplinary service development.

This position will appeal to Geriatricians seeking scale, structure and long-term professional stability within a major regional centre.

The Hospital

The Geriatric Medicine service includes:

• Acute geriatric consult service
