Job summary

Mediix partners with a prominent public hospital network in Northern Territory to appoint a Staff Specialist – General Physician / Geriatrician in Darwin. This hybrid role covers general medicine and geriatrics across two facilities, with leadership of multidisciplinary teams and a strong focus on discharge planning.

The successful FRACP specialist will drive culturally responsive care, supervise junior doctors, and contribute to patient-centred outcomes in a diverse community.

Qualifications

• Specialist registration with AHPRA is required.
• Fellowship with FRACP in General/Acute Care Medicine and Geriatric Medicine.
• Demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary teams and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Consultant-level inpatient care in General Medicine.
• Geriatric services across GEM ward and related units.
• Supervision of junior doctors and team leadership.
• Discharge planning and community engagement.
• Collaborate in a multicultural team environment.
